Directed by Paul Verhoeven, RoboCop became one of the defining action films of the 1980s, blending hard-hitting action with sharp satire of corporate greed and media culture. Weller returned to the role in RoboCop 2 (1990), cementing his place as the definitive RoboCop. His career also includes cult favorites like The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the 8th Dimension and Naked Lunch, plus memorable roles in Star Trek Into Darkness, Sons of Anarchy, and Dexter.
